As I promised you on Thursday, today I’m going to go over some of the ideas that Ed has for the Consortium’s next few books. We’d like your input into where we should head next so take down notes and feel free to give us a shout with your favorites!
First up is the Company Handbook. The Consortium is filled with companies from the largest of the Big Eight to the smallest family-run businesses that work their way up in hopes of becoming a powerful force. This book will give you everything you need to create and run your own company within the Consortium.
We are also considering a Resistance specific book. Era: The Resistance will be a complete guide to the Resistance’s operations. These rebellious citizens will be brought to life with insights into how they live as well as their various personnel. We’ve never gone into so much depth about the Resistance and you’ll get a chance to collect information that will be unlike anything we’ve shown you before.
The Consortium is home to many different races and these multifaceted beings are one of the features that make the universe of the Consortium so interesting. With that in mind, one of the things we’re considering making available to you is a set of Race Source Books. Have you ever wondered how the Eulutians, Ximians, Vilithii or Humans made it to Consortium space? We have hundreds and, in some cases, thousands of years mapped out to tell the stories you never knew.
One area of Consortium history that has up to now been left mostly a mystery is the Orion’s first mission; to travel to a nearby solar system. With the Journey to Albiorix book we get a chance to explore more of what happened during that momentous period of time. All we really know about their adventures is that they found the Vilithii. What else happened while they were exploring? This book will include many new details that cover this missing time in history.
Finally, Ed has plans to create a book which will detail the next 500 years of Consortium history! This is a huge endeavor but it was always something Ed had been envisioning since the very start. The story that we’ve told in Era: The Consortium is not the end, it is just the beginning!
There are many more secrets yet to be revealed in the Consortium’s future. What are these “Titans”, and how can they be defeated? What is the nature of the other two Chosen Races the Pliangrathilon claim to bring news of? What truths lie beyond the veil of the future? These are just some of the unanswered questions that we will be working to develop with the next portion of the Consortium’s history.
