Era: The Empowered is still making great progress!
A new image came in just today from Keith, as we work through those that we have remaining. I’m hoping I’ll be able to show you some next week (this particular one was sent back for some minor changes for character consistency – the kind of thing that happens from time to time when an artist is split across a lot of different characters!).
The Beta Readers have already started sending me feedback, spotting a few bits and pieces that my heroic proofreading team missed. It’s a fact of life that, no matter how well something is proofread, you’re always going to end up in a situation where not everything is caught. Given it’s a total of 6 things so far, I’m not losing too much sleep over it!
I’d like to thank you all for your patience. The book is coming towards the end of its development, but the artwork still has some distance to go. Keith is hopeful we can pick up the pace but, I’ll be honest, I think we might slip past the end of August for the Hardbacks and into September. We made that commitment on Kickstarter but it may not surprise you to learn it was actually a mistake which we didn’t catch at launch! Even so, we hoped to be able to deliver on that timescale, but as Hardbacks usually take some time to produce, I suspect we might not be so lucky this time.
Of course, we will endeavour to get it to you as soon as possible, and I don’t expect anyone more than the two backers on those particular tiers to have their reward late! Everyone else, I’m as sure as humanly possible that we will deliver by November, so don’t worry!
I’m sorry to have to give that news and I hope you can continue to be patient for a short while longer.
